Daisy Lin Shapiro is a news producer, writer and director who has won numerous awards for her coverage of community issues.   At KNBC News in Los Angeles, she has produced a formidable body of work, including the Emmy Award winning News Special, “Autism, the Hidden Epidemic,” and “On the Verge.”   She also produced the station's franchise series "Beating the Odds." since 1996, profiling high school students who overcome tremendous obstacles in their lives, and established college funds for them.  In addition, she produced the weekly series "Unsung Heroes" on NBC 4, highlighting ordinary people who make a difference in the diverse communities of Southern California.   As a special projects producer she has worked on various station specials, including election coverage, Asian American Heritage Month, "Rubble to Rebirth: the Tenth Anniversary of the LA Riots," and "California Indians: Stories of a People."  At E! Entertainment Television, she profiled Margaret Cho and the premiere of "All American Girl," the first Asian American sitcom, one of many in-depth segments she contributed to E! News Daily.  She was a news writer for KCOP in Los Angeles, and has freelanced for various media outlets in Los Angeles.  Early in her career, she interned with Westinghouse Broadcasting in Washington DC and CBS in New York City.   At UCLA, she made a one-hour documentary on the homeless people of Santa Monica, interviewing them at shelters and under bridges, and was a 1991 recipient of the Asian American Journalists Association Scholarship. She also wrote a research thesis on popular American images of Chinese women from 1850 on, which won the UCLA History Department's Mary B. Ritter Award.  This is her first independent feature documentary.

She was born in Taiwan and immigrated with her parents to the United States when she was nine years old.   She lives in Los Angeles.

Stephen Christopher Liu is an entrepreneur, media executive and community organizer.  Currently, Liu is the CEO of HPI EMBLEM, a Suzhou-based China WOFE manufacturer in the textile industry with offices in Los Angeles and San Diego. In addition, Liu is also the Chief Social Capitalist at Privy.net, an invitation-only private global network catering to Asia-focused executives, social jet-setters and luxury brands.

Previously, Liu spent three years as the Founder/President of Reelplay.com Inc., a Forbes Top 200 B2B Company in the international film and television distribution industry. At ReelPlay, Liu was successful in raising close to $6M in venture capital from a number of Silicon Valley and Hollywood heavyweights, including SOFTBANK and WaterView run by Frank Biondi, Jr. (former chief exec at Viacom, Universal Studios and HBO). Prior to Reelplay, Steve served as Managing Director of a boutique strategy consultancy called Change Associates/Futurethink, where he advised senior executives from corporate giants DaimlerChrysler and Xerox, to media and entertainment nonprofits such as Marketplace Radio and the USC School of Cinema/Television.  Named by Goldsea/Transpacific Magazine as one of the "Top 40 Professionals in the U.S. to Watch," Liu started out his career at Wells Fargo, where he rose to Assistant Vice President and managed a $60 million portfolio in the Premier Banking Group.

While working a full schedule, Liu founded the Asian Professional Exchange (www.apex.org) in 1993, served as the organization's founding President from 1993 to 1997, and led the organization from a concept on a napkin to one of the largest Asian Pacific American community-based organizations in United States. Liu still remains active in APEX today serving as Chairman of the Board. 

Liu recently completed his first feature film documentary as Executive Producer entitled YOURS TRULY, MISS CHINATOWN. In addition, he sits on the Advisory Board of a Beijing-based 3D digital animation company Xing Xing Digital Corporation (www.xing-xing.com).

Liu is a member of FF Fraternity, The Entrepreneur’s Organization and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He received his MBA from the Marshall School at the University of Southern California and lives in Hermosa Beach.

John Keitel is an award-winning filmmaker whose work has screened at festivals from Sundance to Berlin and aired on MTV, HBO, Showtime, A&E, and BET.  Current projects include “Prodigal Sons,” a co-production with The Sundance Channel and BBC Storyville, “Saving the Boom,” and “Justly Married.”  He is also a frequent contributor to Current Television.  Additionally, he produces, shoots, and edits many behind-the-scenes specials and features for studios. Recent assignments include “Brokeback Mountain,” “Lord of the Rings: Return of the King,” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”  He has collaborated on two documentaries with Drew Barrymore, and is the writer/director of the award-winning feature film “Defying Gravity,” as well a the editor of “Latter Days” and “Kiss the Bride.” His documentary, “An All-American Story” was an official Sundance selection and received the Gold Plaque award at the Chicago International Film Festival and won The David L. Wolper Certificate from the Independent Documentary Association. He is a graduate of Stanford University (B.A.) and USC Film School (M.A.).
